BUT LET"S START FROM THE BEGINNING !!!...
The garden has come a long way in the past 11 years.
I created this blog to share all the progress we have made through all those years...
There was literally nothing but a baby blue picket fence out there when we moved in the end of June 2000. The first year I dug up flower beds around the outer edges and planted rose bushes and annuals. (Note the tree in the front yard was only about 10-12 feet tall than)
By the end of 2001 we had a hole for a pond dug out...
As time went on and we added cement whenever I could afford a few more bags..
It made a good swimming hole before we put fish in it.
And ducks...
And than the desert toads discovered our fish pond and...
laid their eggs!...
........ Than we had tadpoles ....
All kinds of critters invited themselves to our blooming oasis..
Than someone local donated some dwarf cat tails..
What is a pond without vegetation?
